The Role

As SENDCo, you will lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the campus, ensuring that students with additional needs receive high-quality support and have every opportunity to succeed both academically and personally.

Working closely with the Campus Principal, teaching staff, families, and external agencies, you will play a central role in promoting an inclusive learning environment and ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and coordinating SEND provision across the campus
• Identifying, assessing, and monitoring students with SEND
• Developing and reviewing individual support plans and reasonable adjustments
• Supporting teachers to deliver high-quality adaptive teaching and inclusive classroom practice
• Monitoring the progress and achievement of students with SEND
• Liaising effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies
• Ensuring compliance with SEND legislation, policies, and best practice
• Maintaining accurate and confidential SEND records
• Delivering training and guidance to staff to promote inclusive teaching strategies
• Contributing to whole-school improvement planning and student wellbeing initiatives
• Supporting transition arrangements for students joining or leaving the campus

About You

We are looking for an individual who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience working with students with a range of additional learning needs
• Has a strong understanding of SEND legislation and current best practice
• Demonstrates excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Has experience working collaboratively with families, colleagues, and external professionals
• Possesses strong organisational and record-keeping skills
• Is committed to promoting inclusion and ensuring every student can flourish
• Shares our commitment to student-centred learning and high expectations
