My client is a growing rental supplier to the UK Film industry who specialise in rigging, lifting equipment, drapery, consumables, etc. They are a family firm who have been operating for a quarter of a century.

They seek a reliable, self-motivated individual to work as a Warehouse / Yard Operative – Scaffolding or similar as well as forklift truck / FLT experience.

Duties

• Scaffolding or Similar in a Warehouse / Yard environment.
• Assist with the servicing, preparation, cleaning and packaging of the company’s rental equipment, within the company’s warehouse.
• Operating forklift truck to position items of rental stock shelving and in vehicles.
• Deal with customers and drivers visiting the company’s premises to collect or return orders and
• equipment.
• Checking out of customer orders to ensure that all items are included and delivered and operational and cleanly presented.
• Assist with the servicing, preparation, cleaning and packaging of the company’s rental equipment, within the company’s warehouse.
• Operating forklift truck to position items of rental stock shelving and in vehicles.
• Maintenance and repair of full range of company’s rental stock.
• Assist in areas of building maintenance and general upkeep of the facilities as required.
• Keep all work areas clean,tidy and efficiently organised.
• As directed, provide support to the other teams within the company, to assist in other aspects of the business’s activity,as required.
• Always keep all work-related information confidential and act in a professional manner.
• Be aware of and complying with the Company Health and Safety Policy.
• Ensure that the Company’s policies, rules, procedures and obligations are observed in carrying out the above duties.

Experience and qualifications:

• Warehouse / Yard Experience preferably scaffolding or similar experience
• Forklift Truck Experience
• Good communications / interpersonal skills.Fluent speaker of the English language.
• Flexible and adaptable. Able to respond to short notice changes in working hours and schedules.
• Basic IT knowledge
• Numerate. Basic maths skills and arithmetic required.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Proficient with inventory systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Forklift license or manual handling training (preferred).
• Advantageous but certainly not essential:
• Full UK Driving Licence, to include category B (cars and vehicles up to 3500kg).
• Driving licence entitlement for category C1 (goods vehicles 3500kg to 7500kg).
