Specialist SEND Tutor - Halton Location: Halton, Cheshire Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: October 2026 Duration: Ongoing Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Specialist SEND Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to learners across Halton. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator who can support pupils with complex needs, re-engage learners and help them achieve their individual educational goals. The Role: Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition based on individual learning needs. Support pupils with SEND, complex needs and barriers to education. Adapt teaching strategies to meet different abilities and learning styles. Develop confidence, engagement and independent learning skills. Monitor progress and provide feedback on learning outcomes. Experience, Training and Qualifications: QTS or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience working with students with complex needs. Experience supporting SEND or disengaged pupils. UK classroom teaching experience. A creative, patient approach and willingness to think outside the box. To be eligible for this role, the Specialist SEND Tutor must: Hold the right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS including the child barred list, ideally on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain the required clearance. Provide two professional references, including relevant child-related references.
