The Role

Working closely with Engineering, Operations and Senior Finance leaders, you will lead the planning, forecasting and governance of capital expenditure across a significant UK asset base.

You'll provide financial insight and challenge on major investment decisions, support long-term asset lifecycle planning, and ensure capital projects deliver maximum operational and commercial value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual capex budgeting and forecasting process
• Develop and maintain long-term asset lifecycle investment plans
• Partner with engineering and operational teams on investment decisions
• Build and review business cases for major capital projects
• Perform investment appraisals including NPV, IRR and payback analysis
• Monitor project performance and benefits realisation
• Prepare reporting and recommendations for senior leadership and board review
• Drive continuous improvement in forecasting, planning and reporting processes

About You

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Strong Finance Business Partnering experience
• Experience managing capital expenditure budgets and forecasts
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Confident presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders
• Background within engineering, manufacturing, energy, utilities, infrastructure or another capital-intensive environment would be advantageous
