Electrical Site Engineer
Carrington (Site Based)
Contract 6 months
One of the UK’s leading Independent Power Producers is looking for an experienced Electrical Site Engineer to represent them on a major grid infrastructure project in the North West. Working client side, you will be their eyes and ears on site, making sure the electrical works are built as designed, handling the technical questions that come up during construction and keeping the wider project team informed with a clear, honest view of progress.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent the client on site, monitoring the electrical installation against design, specification and programme.
* Respond to technical queries from the contractor and site teams, escalating where needed and making sure issues are properly closed out.
* Report progress, risks and quality concerns back to the project team clearly and promptly.
* Support inspection, testing and commissioning activity through to energisation and handover.
Experience & Qualifications
* An HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering is preferred, although City & Guilds qualified with strong site experience are equally welcome.
* A solid background on electrical construction projects, for example substations, renewables, utilities or large infrastructure.
* The confidence to handle technical questions on site and turn them into clear, concise reports for the wider team.
* Battery storage experience is welcome but not essential, as transferable HV or renewables site experience is equally relevant.
