CJS Recruitment is currently looking for a reliable and experienced Facilities Technician to join a Further Education setting in Harrow on a long-term temporary contract. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on facilities maintenance experience who can help ensure the campus buildings, facilities and equipment are safe, well maintained and operating effectively. Key Responsibilities: • Carry out general building maintenance, repairs and routine facilities checks. • Identify and report maintenance issues, helping ensure a safe and functional environment. • Support planned and reactive maintenance across the site. • Assist with basic plumbing, electrical and other building maintenance tasks within your area of competence. • Respond to maintenance requests and prioritise tasks appropriately. • Work with external contractors and other site staff when required. • Follow health and safety procedures and maintain accurate records of work completed. Requirements: • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance or a similar technician role. • Practical skills across general repairs and building maintenance. • Good understanding of health and safety procedures. • Able to work independently, manage competing tasks and respond to maintenance issues. • Professional, reliable and proactive approach. • Relevant trade qualifications would be advantageous. • Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one, as required for the role.
