Customer Service Agent

Location: Colnbrook

Salary: £26,000–£29,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Full-time, shifts between 7:30am and 7:30pm, on a rotating basis

We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Agent to join a busy and growing logistics operation based in Colnbrook.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The successful candidate will be confident communicating with customers, highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

The Role

As a Customer Service Agent, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive a professional, efficient and reliable service. You will handle enquiries across various communication channels, proactively resolve issues and work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Handling customer enquiries and bookings via telephone, email and online platforms.
• Providing a professional, friendly and solutions-focused customer service experience.
• Proactively investigating and resolving queries with both internal and external customers.
• Keeping customers informed regarding deliveries and chasing outstanding delivery reports.
• Working towards individual daily targets and service expectations.
• Completing general administrative duties and maintaining accurate records.
• Assisting with the receipt and processing of shipments.
• Supporting fulfilment projects and wider operational activities as required.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
• Participating in an on-call rota once fully trained, as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is personable, proactive and passionate about providing excellent customer service. You will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous customer service experience, ideally within logistics, courier services or a similar environment.
• A confident and professional telephone manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of English.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Good IT skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• A team-oriented approach, alongside the initiative to work independently.
• The ability to manage workloads, meet targets and prioritise tasks effectively.
• A personable, approachable and empathetic manner.
• The ability to work accurately and diligently in a busy environment.
