We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to provide support during a busy period for a well-established business based in Blaby. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can quickly integrate into the finance team, take ownership of day-to-day transactional finance activities, and ensure financial records are maintained accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing high-volume purchase ledger invoices and supplier queries
• Maintaining the sales ledger and supporting credit control activities
• Carrying out daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Managing employee expenses and company credit card reconciliations
• Preparing and processing payment runs
• Supporting with general finance administration and record keeping
• Assisting with month-end duties as required
• Ensuring financial information is accurate, up to date, and compliant with company procedures

About You

• Previous experience in a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, or similar finance role
• Strong working knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes
• Experience completing bank reconciliations and payment runs
• Confident managing expenses and credit card transactions
• Good attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Able to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
