Catering Assistant Salary: £12,565 (Pro rata) £25827 (FTE) Widnes / Runcorn, WA8 0TD Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced Catering Assistant to work across our vibrant organisation. Hours: 18 hours per week Duration: Permanent What You’ll Do: * Prepare and serve food and beverages, including menu planning and special dietary requirements. * Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and health & safety. * Deliver excellent customer service and support customers' independence. * Work collaboratively as part of the team and contribute proactively. * Complete administrative tasks including stock control, banking, income reconciliation, and operational checks. What You’ll Need: * Basic Food Hygiene Certificate - NVQ Level 1 and/or Basic Food Hygiene Certificate - NVQ Level 2. * Experience working in a catering environment with knowledge of food handling. * Flexible approach to working hours and location. * Ability to follow procedures and instructions. * Good customer service and communication skills. * Ability to identify and escalate hazards or issues promptly.
