We are looking for a fully qualified, GDC-registered Dental Nurse to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for a confident, organised individual who enjoys a varied position combining chairside nursing, reception responsibilities, and compliance support. The Role As a key member of our practice team, you will provide high-quality chairside assistance while helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. We are seeking someone who can work independently, communicate effectively with patients, and maintain high clinical and professional standards. Key Responsibilities * Providing full chairside support for NHS and private dental treatments * Preparing and maintaining surgeries to a high clinical and hygiene standard * Managing cross-infection control and decontamination procedures * Sterilising instruments and ensuring HTM 01-05 compliance * Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical notes * Welcoming patients and providing a professional, friendly first point of contact * Booking appointments and managing the practice diary * Answering telephone enquiries and supporting reception duties * Assisting with compliance requirements and maintaining documentation * Using digital compliance systems and practice management software * Working closely with clinicians and colleagues to support efficient daily operations Essential Requirements * Qualified Dental Nurse with current GDC registration * Previous experience working within a dental practice * Excellent chairside nursing skills * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Good written and spoken English * Strong organisational and administrative abilities * Competent IT skills and confidence using digital systems * Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach Desirable * Experience using SOE (Software of Excellence) * Experience within a mixed NHS and private practice * Knowledge of dental compliance systems and processes What We Offer * Competitive hourly rate of £14.00 to £16.00 per hour, depending on experience * Contract role with a view to permanent employment * Friendly and supportive family-run practice * Opportunity to develop skills across nursing, reception, and compliance * Long-term career opportunity within a well-established practice
