Paraplanner and Senior Paraplanner

Wilmslow, Cheshire

Paraplanner: up to £50,000 | Senior Paraplanner: up to £70,000

Most advice firms are built as a pyramid: a handful of advisers at the top, supported by a thinner layer of paraplanners and fewer support staff beneath them.

This firm has built its model differently.

Eight advisers are backed by around 40 planning specialists, each becoming the named contact for their own client bank, answering calls, sitting in client meetings and often knowing the client's situation in as much detail as the adviser.

The business has grown organically since 1995 and now looks after £1.4bn for more than 1,500 clients from its Cheshire office. Following external investment in 2025, the firm is entering its next stage of growth while retaining the structure and approach that have made its model successful.

We're hiring into the team at two levels.

Paraplanner – up to £50,000

This is a non-client-facing, technically focused role. You'll build the foundations behind every recommendation through research, analysis and report writing, giving the client-facing team everything they need to advise effectively.

It's an ideal route for someone who wants to deepen their technical expertise first, with a clear opportunity to progress into a more client-facing position as their career develops.

Senior Paraplanner – up to £70,000

This is a client-facing role where you'll become the named point of contact for your own client bank, working alongside an adviser while taking ownership of the day-to-day client relationship.

The firm sees this position as much closer to a co-chair of the client relationship than the traditional paraplanner working behind the scenes.

You'll need to be Level 4 qualified as a minimum, with applications welcomed from those working towards or already holding Chartered status.

Both opportunities suit people who value technical rigour, high-quality financial planning and the chance to build genuine expertise within their profession.

For the Senior Paraplanner position in particular, this isn't designed as a stepping stone into a traditional adviser role. The firm is looking for people who want to build a long-term career as a planning specialist and see client-facing paraplanning as a career in its own right.
