Senior Quantity Surveyor – Retail Fit-Out & Refurbishment Location: To be confirmed Salary: Competitive Package + Benefits Employment: Permanent Sector: Retail Fit-Out / Refurbishment / Framework Projects The Opportunity We are working with an established contractor looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Senior QS with a strong background in retail fit-out, refurbishment and managing multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial delivery of a portfolio of fast-paced projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully, profitably and to the highest standards. We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have worked on major supermarket refurbishment programmes, retail frameworks or national roll-out projects. Key Responsibilities * Commercial management of multiple retail fit-out and refurbishment projects simultaneously. * Managing project costs, budgets, valuations and financial reporting. * Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors. * Preparation and agreement of variations and final accounts. * Managing commercial risks and identifying opportunities to maximise profitability. * Working closely with operational and project delivery teams. * Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed commercial parameters. * Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders. * Providing accurate cost forecasting and commercial reporting across multiple sites. About You We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Essential Experience: * Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry. * Extensive retail fit-out or refurbishment experience. * Demonstrable experience commercially managing multiple live sites. * Strong subcontractor procurement and account management skills. * Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation and communication skills. * Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing project deadlines. * Experience working independently and taking ownership of commercial performance. Highly Desirable: * Supermarket refurbishment and fit-out programmes. * Experience delivering projects across national retail frameworks. * Fast-track refurbishment or store roll-out experience. * Experience working within live retail environments.
