If you’re a commercial AC service engineer in London or the Home Counties, this role pays £45,000 to £55,000 basic, with realistic yearly earnings of between £57,000 and £70,000. The company puts real money into making you better at the job.
They have their own training centre with live systems, so you learn on real equipment with real faults, not slides in a classroom. There’s room to go further too, including chillers. As your fault-finding gets stronger and you take on more complex systems, your pay goes up with it. You’re not capped at a fixed rate.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll do planned maintenance, repairs and fault-finding on commercial VRV/VRF, split, multi-split and CRAC systems across London. You’ll use manufacturer diagnostic tools and do your reports digitally. Work is kept local wherever possible, and travel is paid.
There’s a service desk and management team behind you, so your workload is planned rather than one reactive job after another.
There is a call-out rota, but it only comes round about three times a year.
What you’ll need
Solid commercial AC service and maintenance experience
Experience on VRV/VRF and split systems
F-Gas Cat 1
Daikin Service Checker, Mitsubishi Monitor Tool or Toshiba Dyno Doctor experience would help
Chillers and CRAC aren’t essential, as you can be trained on those
What you’ll get
£45,000 to £55,000 basic
Quarterly performance bonuses, plus a first fix bonus and call-out incentives
33 days holiday including bank holidays
Company van with fuel card and paid parking, private use allowed
Tablet, phone, PPE, uniform and expenses covered
Manufacturer courses and regular appraisals
If you feel you’ve hit a ceiling where you are, this is worth five minutes. There’s a phone call, then one face-to-face interview. Send over your CV. It doesn’t need to be up to date, and everyone gets a response
