Pricing / Commercial Executive – Freight Forwarding

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000

Location: Heathrow area

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pricing / Commercial Executive to join a growing freight forwarding business with ambitious expansion plans.

The role will focus primarily on Air and Ocean freight pricing across imports and exports, with some Road freight also involved. You will manage customer pricing enquiries, source competitive rates, prepare quotations and follow up on commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer pricing requests across Air and Ocean freight, with some Road freight
• Obtain competitive rates from suppliers and overseas agents
• Prepare accurate and timely quotations for customers
• Compare supplier rates to identify suitable pricing solutions
• Follow up on quotations and chase customer feedback to maximise conversion opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams
• Maintain accurate pricing records and quotation documentation
• Work closely with sales and operations teams to support business objectives
• Manage multiple enquiries and deadlines effectively

About You

• Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics or a commercial role is advantageous
• Knowledge of Air and Ocean freight, including imports and exports, is desirable
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• A proactive approach to following up quotations and identifying opportunities
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
