Our client is a well-established organisation operating within the industrial engineering and food processing equipment sector. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team and support continued growth and operational success

Description

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the food industry.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle, including specification, tendering, negotiation and contract award.
• Build long-term relationships with international key accounts, end users, partners and agents.
• Position complex engineered solutions based on customer requirements, regulatory considerations and lifecycle value.
• Develop strategic account plans, maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline and monitor market activity.
• Collaborate with engineering, applications and project teams to produce proposals and ensure effective project handovers.

Profile

A successful Business Development Manager should have:

• Proven experience selling high-value capital equipment or engineered solutions within the food or bakery sector.
• Demonstrable success managing long, complex sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers.
• Strong consultative selling, commercial negotiation and relationship-management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK and internationally.
• Knowledge of industrial food processes, supported by an engineering or technical qualification, is highly desirable.
