Senior Accounts Payable Specialist - 6-Month Contract

Location: Hammersmith, West London (Hybrid - 3 days office)
Rate: £24-27 per hour (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 months
Start Date: ASAP

Inventum Group is partnering with a growing business in the energy sector to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for an initial six-month contract.

Working within a busy finance team, you will support the smooth running of Accounts Payable operations, including supplier payments, invoice processing, reconciliations and cashflow reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on AP professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and code supplier invoices accurately using Sage.

• Prepare weekly supplier payment runs and remittance advice.

• Manage supplier queries, payment chasers and outstanding invoices.

• Complete aged creditor reviews and investigate discrepancies.

• Support bank reconciliations and daily cashflow forecasting.

• Work closely with internal teams to resolve invoice and payment issues.

• Maintain accurate AP records and support improvements to financial controls and processes.

About You

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or transactional finance role.

• Strong knowledge of invoice processing, supplier payments and reconciliations.

• Experience with Sage preferred, although other accounting systems will be considered.

• Good Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.

• Confident communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Able to manage competing priorities and work independently.

• Available immediately or at short notice.
