Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a growing and highly successful business based in Harrogate, seeking to appoint an FP&A Analyst to support the senior leadership team through the next stage of its growth journey.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused accountant or analyst who enjoys getting under the skin of the numbers, identifying trends and providing meaningful insight that influences business decisions.

Working within a high-calibre finance team, you'll have regular exposure to senior stakeholders and will become a trusted partner across multiple functions within the organisation.

The Opportunity

This role sits at the heart of the finance function, combining financial analysis, forecasting and strategic planning. You'll be responsible for transforming data into actionable insight, supporting key business decisions and helping drive future performance.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence decision-making at a senior level while developing their own commercial and strategic finance skillset.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes across the business.
• Produce insightful monthly and quarterly performance reporting.
• Deliver detailed variance analysis and performance commentary.
• Support long-term financial planning and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support commercial decision-making.
• Analyse revenue, profitability, market trends and key business drivers.
• Partner with department heads to challenge assumptions and improve performance.
• Support investment appraisals, business cases and growth projects.
• Provide financial insight and recommendations to senior management.
• Assist in the ongoing development of reporting tools, dashboards and KPIs.

About You

We're keen to speak with ambitious finance professionals who enjoy working with data and influencing business performance.

Ideally, you'll have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be at the final stages of qualification).
• Experience within FP&A, commercial finance, management accounting or business partnering.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of data.
• The confidence to communicate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• A commercial mindset with a natural curiosity to understand what drives business performance.
• Power BI or other reporting tool experience would be advantageous.
