CMS / Product Administrator

A fast-growing e-commerce business based in Blackpool is looking for a CMS / Product Administrator to join its product and technology team. The company has seen exceptional growth over the past two years and is investing heavily in its platform, content operations, and customer experience.

This is a hands-on role that sits at the crossroads of content, technology, and product. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the platform's CMS, but this is not a pure content upload position. The business wants someone with genuine technical curiosity, someone who is as comfortable digging into back-end systems and workflows as they are configuring competitions and checking details.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Uploading, configuring, and quality-checking competitions within the CMS, covering a range of formats, prize types, and draw schedules
  • Administering back-end systems and identifying ways to improve efficiency in how the platform operates
  • Supporting the product and tech teams with day-to-day operational tasks, testing, and feature validation
  • Taking ownership of specific product areas as they develop (for example, new platform features like shop and drop functionality)
  • Helping with prize procurement administration, supplier coordination, and scheduling
  • Flagging bugs, inconsistencies, or system issues to the wider team
  • Contributing ideas and observations from your hands-on experience with the platform

What We're Looking For

You do not need to be a developer, but you do need to be the kind of person who wants to understand how things work under the surface. At least half of this role is technical in nature, and the business wants someone who will grow into genuine product ownership over time.

  • A natural eye for detail and comfort with structured, repetitive tasks where accuracy matters
  • Genuine interest in technology, platforms, and how digital products are built and run
  • Experience working with CMS platforms, back-end admin systems, or similar tools
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A proactive mindset: you spot problems, suggest fixes, and look for better ways to do things
  • Good communication skills, particularly when raising issues or feeding back to product and tech teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience in ecommerce, gaming, competitions, or a similar online platform environment
  • Basic understanding of HTML, web technologies, or how content management systems work behind the scenes
  • Exposure to product or tech team workflows (sprints, backlogs, feature releases)
  • Experience with data entry, content operations, or digital administration at volume

Why This Role

This is not a dead-end admin job. The company is scaling quickly and the product team is growing with it. You will start with a clear set of responsibilities, but there is a genuine pathway into product ownership, where you take full responsibility for specific features and areas of the platform. If you are technically minded and want to build a career in product or tech operations, this is a realistic route in.

The role is fully on-site at the company's Blackpool headquarters. The team is collaborative, fast-moving, and hands-on. A tiered bonus scheme of up to 30% is in place on top of base salary.
