The Role

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and inspiring Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan, prepare and assess student work to support progress and attainment
• Teach a range of Design Technology disciplines, depending on your specialism and experience
• Encourage creativity, innovation and independent thinking
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Support students in developing practical, technical and design-based skills
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and Design Technology department

The Ideal Candidate

The school would ideally like to appoint a teacher who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). However, they are also keen to hear from candidates who may not hold QTS but have significant UK secondary Design Technology teaching experience and a strong track record of delivering high-quality lessons and positive student outcomes.

You will have:

• Experience teaching Design Technology within UK secondary schools
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A passion for Design Technology and education
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to motivate, challenge and inspire students of all abilities
