TIG/MIG Welder Permanent £18.00 - £20.00 per hour Days Hitchin Join one of the UK's leading sheet metal subcontract manufacturers, producing high-quality fabricated components and decorative metalwork for a diverse range of industries. Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join their established fabrication team. Working with thin to medium gauge materials, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality welded assemblies and decorative panels where attention to detail and workmanship are paramount. What you'll be doing * MIG and TIG welding thin to medium gauge sheet metal components * Manufacturing decorative and architectural metalwork to a high cosmetic standard * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Working with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium materials * Inspecting your own work to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved * Supporting fabrication and assembly activities where required What we're looking for * Proven MIG and TIG welding experience within a sheet metal or fabrication environment * Ability to produce clean, high-quality cosmetic welds * Experience welding thin gauge materials * Ability to read and work from technical drawings * Aluminium TIG welding experience would be highly advantageous * Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship What's on offer * Opportunity to join a market-leading sheet metal subcontractor * Modern manufacturing environment with high-quality equipment * Stable, long-term career opportunity * Ongoing training and development * Competitive salary and overtime opportunities available If you're a skilled welder who takes pride in producing high-quality decorative and cosmetic welds, we'd like to hear from you.
