The Opportunity

We're working with a highly successful, ambitious and forward-thinking UK law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager / Consultant on an initial six-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, nationally recognised law firm with a collaborative culture, ambitious growth plans and a strong reputation for innovation.

You'll work closely with partners and senior stakeholders across the business, providing strategic and hands-on BD support to help drive growth, strengthen key client relationships and convert new business opportunities.

This is a varied, business-facing role offering plenty of autonomy, exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to make a tangible commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement BD plans aligned with key sectors, service lines and strategic priorities.
• Client Relationship Management: Work closely with partners to strengthen key client relationships, identify opportunities and support client account planning.
• Bids & Pitches: Lead the development of compelling proposals, bids and pitch presentations to secure new business.
• Pipeline Development: Identify new business opportunities, develop prospect pipelines and support lead generation and conversion.
• Campaigns & Profile Raising: Deliver targeted BD campaigns, events and thought leadership initiatives to raise the firm's profile and generate opportunities.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted relationships with partners, providing commercially focused advice, insight and constructive challenge.

About You

We're looking for an experienced, commercially minded BD professional who can hit the ground running and quickly establish credibility with senior stakeholders.

You'll ideally bring:

• Significant BD experience gained within a law firm or professional services environment.
• A strong track record of developing and delivering successful BD strategies and plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and advise partners.
• Strong bids, pitches and proposal development experience.
• Experience of key client relationship management, account planning and pipeline development.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and deliver results.
