An exciting opportunity for a commercially minded, hands-on Finance Director to take ownership of the finance function within a growing international consumer brand.

Robert Walters is partnering with a growing business in the consumer goods sector to recruit an experienced Finance Director for a 13-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a high-profile position offering genuine influence over commercial strategy, financial performance and key business decisions. Operating across the UK, US and Ireland, the business is looking for a confident finance leader who can balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach in a lean, fast-moving environment.

The Opportunity

As Finance Director, you will take full responsibility for the finance function, acting as a trusted partner to the CEO and wider Group. You'll lead on commercial decision-making, cash management, forecasting and financial governance, while managing a small finance team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering closely with the CEO to support strategic planning, commercial decisions and business growth.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management across multiple international entities.
• Driving commercial performance through pricing strategies, profitability analysis and investment appraisals.
• Managing funding requirements, working capital and relationships with Group stakeholders.
• Working closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers to manage financial risks, commercial arrangements and continuity of supply.
• Overseeing financial reporting, controls, statutory compliance and year-end processes.
• Leading and developing a small finance team, remaining comfortable getting into the detail when required.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Finance Director or Head of Finance who enjoys operating in a broad, commercially focused position.

Ideally, you will bring:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, with significant senior finance leadership experience.
• A strong commercial finance background, including pricing, forecasting, business partnering and financial modelling.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to consumer products or full-service manufacturing.
• Strong cashflow management and working capital experience, including funding arrangements.
• International, multi-entity and multi-currency finance experience.
• A hands-on leadership style, with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally within a small team.

Experience within consumer brands, beauty, retail or e-commerce would be particularly advantageous.
