Join Sheffield Markets and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Sheffield's vibrant market scene. We are looking for a Temporary Markets Officer to support the delivery and development of our Markets Service. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with over 150 independent retailers and contribute to a thriving market community.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support the day-to-day operations of Sheffield's indoor and outdoor markets, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the Markets Service.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for both traders and customers.
• Use IT systems effectively to support and improve service delivery.
• Engage with traders and customers, providing excellent customer service and addressing any issues promptly.
• Contribute to the resilience and readiness of the service to meet future retail challenges.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working within an operational team, preferably in a market or retail environment.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Confidence and proactivity in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using IT systems relevant to service delivery.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to strategic improvements.

Working Pattern:
