Job Description

As a Male Support Worker, you will bring compassion, motivation, and reliability to our dedicated care team. In this rewarding and impactful role, you will play a vital part in delivering person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, empowering them to lead independent, fulfilling lives.

This role involves supporting Service Users on 1:1 support basic with daily living tasks and accompanying them to planned activities, appointments, and social outings; all with the aim of promoting independence, dignity, and choice.

Key Responsibilities

As a Male Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Supporting Service Users with everyday tasks:
• Domestic chores (e.g. cleaning, laundry)
• Meal preparation
• Personal care
• Budgeting and money management
• Engaging with the local community and accessing amenities ( driver licence required )
• Following and implementing personalised support plans to help individuals achieve their goals and aspirations
• Delivering high-quality, person-centred care
• Work collaboratively with families, in-house teams, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each Service User
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records, including:
• Daily notes
• Medication administration records
• Risk assessments
• Incident and accident reports

Essential

• A compassionate, empathetic, and respectful approach to care
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
• Willingness to learn and undertake full training
• Full UK Driving Licence
