Clinical Negligence Paralegal

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + bonus

Working pattern: Hybrid working

The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Paralegal to join a growing clinical negligence team based in Liverpool.

This role would suit a Junior Clinical Negligence Paralegal, an experienced Paralegal looking for their next step, or an NQ Solicitor with previous paralegal experience in clinical negligence.

You will join an established team handling a range of clinical negligence matters, with the opportunity to take ownership of your own caseload and develop your fee-earning experience in a supportive environment.

The Role

• Manage your own caseload of clinical negligence matters from instruction through to resolution.
• Assist clients throughout the claims process, providing clear communication and regular updates.
• Investigate potential claims, reviewing medical records and gathering relevant evidence.
• Liaise with medical experts, counsel, clients and other parties involved in proceedings.
• Draft legal documents, correspondence and other case-related documentation.
• Monitor case progress, deadlines and key milestones to ensure matters are progressed efficiently.
• Contribute to the continued development of the clinical negligence team.

About You

• Previous experience handling clinical negligence matters within a law firm.
• Experience managing or assisting with a clinical negligence caseload.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
• A proactive attitude and the confidence to take responsibility for your own matters.
• A genuine interest in developing your career within clinical negligence.
