Not every Legal Cashier wants to spend their working life buried in spreadsheets, fixing other people's mistakes and wondering why nobody understands the Solicitors Accounts Rules. Some just want to work somewhere that takes its accounts function seriously.
The job itself is fairly straightforward:
You'll be dealing with the day-to-day financial transactions you'd expect in a busy law firm. Bank reconciliations, client and office account receipts, CHAPS payments, client-to-office transfers, billing, purchase ledger, disbursements and the occasional query from a fee earner who needs something sorting yesterday.
You'll also be making sure everything is handled in accordance with the SRA’s.
Nothing out of the ordinary, but it's important work, and they need someone who can do it properly.
What they're looking for:
You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, and you don't need to reinvent the accounts department. You just need to be reliable, know your way around legal accounts and take a bit of pride in doing things properly. Thank you for attending this presentation. We will be in touch shortly.
What’s in it for you?
