Environmental Engineer – Sweden Salary: €80,000–€90,000 + Accommodation + Rotation + Travel + Living Allowance Location: Sweden Sector: Data Centre / Mission Critical Employment Type: Permanent A leading international data centre construction contractor is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join a major data centre construction project in Sweden. Key Responsibilities * Conduct environmental inspections and site walkovers. * Identify environmental non-compliance issues and agree corrective actions. * Prepare environmental progress reports and investigate incidents. * Monitor environmental permits, site complaints and compliance requirements. * Oversee waste management, recycling and waste minimisation. * Ensure drainage systems and watercourses are protected from contamination. * Manage spill prevention measures and environmental training. * Support client environmental inspections, meetings and audits. * Monitor high-risk site activities and ensure environmental standards are maintained. * Deliver environmental toolbox talks and promote best practice. * Support emergency response exercises and improvement plans. * Assist with the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP). * Review construction method statements and procedures for environmental risks. * Support sustainability initiatives and environmental certification requirements. * Build a strong environmental culture across the project team. Requirements * Relevant environmental qualification or degree. * Minimum 3 years’ construction-sector experience. * Strong understanding of environmental regulations and management principles. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment. * Site supervision experience would be beneficial. * Data centre, high-tech, industrial or pharmaceutical project experience would be advantageous.
