We can offer both day to day and longer term placements in a range of welcoming primary schools. This is an excellent opportunity to put your experience to good use, work in a variety of settings and make a positive difference to children's learning and wellbeing.

About the Role

You will work alongside class teachers to support pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Depending on the placement, you may support individual pupils, small groups or whole classes. You will:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities
• Provide one to one and small group support to help pupils make progress
• Lead structured interventions in areas such as phonics, reading, writing and maths
• Support pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum
• Promote positive behaviour in line with each school's policies
• Help to create a safe, organised and stimulating learning environment
• Support pupils' wellbeing, confidence and independence throughout the school day
• Adapt quickly to new classes, routines and school settings

About You

• Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school setting
• A good understanding of the primary curriculum and how children learn
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience, is desirable
• Confidence in managing behaviour and supporting pupils with a range of needs
• A patient, reliable and professional approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine commitment to pupil success and wellbeing
• Right to work in the UK
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one
