Insurance Associate

Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

Working Pattern: Office-based, with 2 days working from home per week following successful completion of probation.

The Role

We are recruiting an Insurance Associate on behalf of our client, a professional property management business based in Southend-on-Sea, specialising in ground rent management and residential property portfolios.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, customer-focused individual with experience or knowledge of buildings insurance to join a supportive team and develop their career within property management.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, insurance brokers and claims handlers, you will manage insurance policies, handle leaseholder enquiries, support claims and assist with invoicing and account administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Arranging, amending and cancelling buildings insurance policies.
• Handling leaseholder insurance enquiries, complaints and disputes.
• Liaising with brokers and claims handlers.
• Arranging reinstatement valuations and updating account records.
• Managing insurance premium invoices and supporting arrears recovery.
• Processing payments and providing general administrative support.

About You

• Experience or knowledge of buildings insurance, ideally within residential property.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and resolve queries effectively.
• An interest in leasehold property and arrears recovery.
• CII qualification or willingness to work towards one within the first year.
