Position: SEN Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Acocks Green, B27

Job type: Full-Time/ Part-Time

We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to work for one of our schools based in Acocks Green. This specific role will require the sucessful candidate to have experience in working with and supporting individuals who have experienced trauma.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant your main responsibilities will consist of:

• Working on a 1-to-1 basis with desiganted student
• Not only supporting pupils educational development but also managing and supporting the classroom alongside the designated teacher
• Creating a positive and engaging atmosphere in the classroom
• Monitoring students and reporting to designated teacher when needed
• De-escalating behavioural conflicts and recognising good behaviour in accordance with the schools policies

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
• Relevant qualifications or experience
• Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed
