Are you an experienced Repairs Manager, Responsive Repairs Manager or Property Maintenance professional looking for your next senior operational role?

At Fairhive, we’re looking for an Operations Business Manager – Repairs to lead the delivery of our responsive repairs service, ensuring our homes are maintained to a high standard and our residents receive an efficient, reliable and customer-focused service.

About the role

This is a key operational leadership role where you’ll take responsibility for the performance and ongoing development of our responsive repairs service. You’ll lead and motivate the repairs team, manage in-house trade operatives and external contractors, and ensure the service delivers excellent standards while providing value for money.

You’ll oversee budgets, service performance and key performance indicators, using data and resident feedback to identify opportunities for improvement. You’ll also make sure pre and post inspections and other technical inspections are completed to the required standards, while maintaining compliance with our legal, regulatory, statutory and Health & Safety responsibilities.

A key part of the role will be creating positive outcomes for our residents. You’ll take the lead on resolving complaints and dissatisfaction, turning lessons learned into practical improvements to the way our repairs service operates. You’ll also participate in the management of our out-of-hours service on a rota basis.

About you

We’re looking for a confident and experienced operational leader who understands what it takes to deliver a high-performing repairs or property maintenance service. You’ll be comfortable making decisions in complex situations, managing competing priorities and building strong relationships with colleagues, residents, contractors and suppliers.

You’ll bring a degree or substantial relevant technical experience, together with an HND in Building Surveying or equivalent. You’ll have strong commercial, operational and financial awareness, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to analyse complex information and turn it into effective solutions and service improvements. Good intermediate IT skills are also required.

If you’re passionate about delivering great repairs services, leading successful teams and making a real difference to residents, we’d love to hear from you.
