Delivery Driver

Location: Chesham, HP5
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, typically 7:00am - 5:00pm
No mandatory weekend work

About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team in Chesham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, providing exceptional customer service, and working independently.

The role involves delivering water softener products, salt supplies, filtration equipment, and bottled water to both residential and commercial customers. You will be responsible for ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time while representing the business in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete 10-20 deliveries per day to residential and commercial customers.
• Deliver products including 10kg and 25kg salt blocks, water filtration refills, and bottled water.
• Safely load and unload vehicles, following manual handling procedures and health and safety guidelines.
• Provide a friendly and professional service, answering basic customer queries and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks, including tyres, lights, oil, and water levels, reporting any defects promptly.
• Use handheld devices, GPS navigation, and delivery management systems to record deliveries and obtain proof of delivery (POD).
• Follow company policies, road traffic regulations, and safe working practices at all times.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Category B licence for driving 3.5-tonne vehicles.
• Category C1 licence or grandfather rights for 7.5-tonne vehicles (desirable where applicable).
• Previous experience in a multi-drop delivery, commercial driving, or route-planning role.
• The physical capability to lift and carry heavy products on a daily basis.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
• A reliable, professional, and positive attitude.
