Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative

Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £25,000 per annum (£13.74 per hour)
Job Type: Full-time, 3 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse team in Hemel Hempstead. This is a hands-on role that will involve operating forklifts, supporting goods in and goods out activities, and ensuring the smooth movement of stock throughout the warehouse and production areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Reach, Counterbalance, or Bendi forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload deliveries and collections.
• Move stock, raw materials, and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Accurately check, receive, and book in incoming deliveries.
• Wrap, strap, and prepare pallets for storage or dispatch.
• Carry out stock movements and assist with stock control activities.
• Weigh barrels and IBCs, ensuring records are maintained accurately.
• Support goods in and goods out functions as required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Assist with general warehouse duties and manual handling tasks when required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a warehouse environment.
• Valid Reach Truck, Counterbalance, or Bendi Forklift licence.
• Confident operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious approach to work.
• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment would be advantageous.
