Our client is a well-established law firm in Milton Keynes seeking a commercially minded Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its busy Commercial Property team.

You’ll manage your own caseload, build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality legal services. You’ll also contribute to the department’s continued growth through business development, networking and marketing activities, working closely with colleagues to achieve shared objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own workload and working towards individual fee-earning and time-recording targets.
• Delivering high-quality, cost-effective legal services while ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and within agreed timescales.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues and external contacts.
• Contributing to the development and growth of the Commercial Property department through business development, networking and cross-referral opportunities.
• Supporting the firm's marketing activities, including networking events, seminars and the preparation of marketing materials.
• Developing your professional profile and supporting the firm's presence on LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
• Ensuring effective file management, billing and credit control processes are followed.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team objectives and provide an excellent client experience.
• Maintaining a strong working knowledge of Commercial Property law, regulatory requirements and the firm's policies and procedures.
• Embracing new technology and contributing ideas to improve working practices and efficiency.

Person Specification required for the Residential Solicitor role

• Approximately 2–3 years' post-qualification experience in Commercial Property.
• Qualification as a Solicitor or Legal Executive, with relevant Commercial Property experience.
• Strong communication, organisational and client relationship skills.
• A commercial mindset, with an understanding of fee-earning targets and the importance of business development.
• The ability to manage a busy workload independently while contributing positively to a team.
• A proactive and professional approach, with a commitment to delivering excellent client service.
• Knowledge of the Milton Keynes area would be advantageous. Occasional travel to the firm's other office may also be required.
