The Role – PlumberYou will be responsible for carrying out responsive repairs and day-to-day plumbing maintenance within occupied social housing and council properties. The role will involve diagnosing plumbing issues, completing work efficiently and aiming for first-time fixes wherever possible. Your day-to-day duties will include: Carrying out all aspects of plumbing repairs and maintenance Repairing and replacing taps, toilets, sinks and sanitary ware Diagnosing and repairing leaks, burst pipes and faulty plumbing components Repairing and replacing pipework, valves, traps and wastes Carrying out bathroom and kitchen plumbing repairs Repairing and replacing taps, showers, toilets and associated fittings Completing plumbing repairs and installations as required Carrying out responsive repairs within occupied properties Diagnosing faults and identifying suitable repair solutions Carrying out first-time fixes wherever possible Completing jobs within required response times Working safely and efficiently within residents' homes Keeping work areas clean and tidy Providing excellent customer service to tenants and residents Updating job information and completing paperwork/PDA records where required Working independently while maintaining communication with the wider team Social Housing ExperiencePrevious experience working within social housing, housing associations, council properties, local authority maintenance or domestic property repairs would be highly desirable. You should be comfortable working in occupied homes and understand the importance of: Professional communication Respecting tenants' homes Good customer service Clean and tidy working practices Completing repairs correctly first time Working safely and efficiently What We're Looking ForWe're interested in speaking with experienced: Plumbers Plumber Multi Traders Multi-Skilled Plumbers Domestic Plumbers Responsive Repairs Plumbers Social Housing Plumbers Maintenance Plumbers Multi Trade Operatives with strong plumbing experience You should have: Proven experience as a Plumber Strong domestic plumbing and repair skills Experience working in occupied properties Social housing / council / housing association experience preferred Good knowledge of reactive maintenance Ability to diagnose problems and work independently Strong attention to detail Good communication and customer service skills A professional and reliable approach Full UK Driving Licence – essential Own tools – desirable QualificationsRelevant plumbing qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or City & Guilds, would be advantageous, although candidates with strong relevant practical experience will also be considered.
