Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a QA/QC Lead on a 6 month rolling contract based in Somerset. Role Summary A Tier 1 contractor delivering a civils package on a major nuclear new build project is looking for a QA/QC Engineer to look after quality across the surface water works. You’ll set up the quality arrangements for the package, make sure they’re followed on site and by suppliers, and build the quality records needed for handover. Responsibilities * Writing the project quality plan, ITPs, material control records and supporting check sheets * Witnessing construction activities and signing off check sheets and ITPs * Overseeing supplier quality arrangements and making sure they’re being followed * Carrying out surveillance inspections, receipt inspections and audits * Raising and managing non-conformances through to close-out * Compiling the lifetime quality records and handover file as the works progress Requirements * Experience working on a nuclear licensed site * A construction or civils quality background * An engineering degree or equivalent * Hands-on experience writing quality plans and ITPs, not just working to them * Experience on nuclear new build * Drainage, water or wider civils infrastructure experience * ISO 9001 Lead Auditor * Familiarity with LTQR or lifetime quality record requirements Our Company Rubicon Consulting is a Talent management consultancy which helps you to optimise business performance and competitive advantage by choosing the right people first time
