Due to an unexpected change in circumstances for the current postholder, a specialist education provision in Norwich is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Science Teacher to join the team as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with smaller class sizes and support young people who may have experienced barriers to learning in mainstream education. The school is open to applications from teachers seeking either a short-term assignment or a longer-term opportunity.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Adapt lessons to meet a range of individual learning, behavioural and emotional needs.
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs and other additional needs to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships that help students re-engage with education and develop confidence in their abilities.
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with support staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders to ensure students are able to thrive both academically and personally.

We Are Looking For

  • A qualified Science Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
  • Someone who can build rapport quickly and maintain high expectations.
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom engagement skills.
  • A patient, resilient and flexible professional who enjoys making a difference.
  • Experience within alternative provision, SEMH, SEND or mainstream secondary settings is welcomed.

What's on Offer?

  • Immediate start available
  • Short-term and long-term options available
  • Supportive specialist setting with smaller class sizes
  • Competitive rates of pay
  • Opportunity to make a genuine impact on vulnerable young people's futures
