Job Title: Sales Office Manager
Salary: Up to £35,000 Per Annum
Location: Broughton, Chester
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

My client is looking for an experienced Sales Office Manager to lead and develop a busy internal sales team within a technical and industrial sales environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused leader who enjoys driving team performance, strengthening customer relationships, and contributing to business growth.

Key Duties

• Manage, coach, and support the Internal Sales team to achieve sales, margin, and customer service targets.
• Create a high-performing and collaborative team culture with a strong focus on accountability and continuous improvement.
• Establish and monitor individual and team KPIs, providing regular feedback and performance support.
• Drive effective management of inbound enquiries and outbound sales activities.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and account development strategies.
• Ensure customer enquiries, quotations, and orders are handled accurately, professionally, and within agreed timescales.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, delivering excellent levels of service and responsiveness.
• Work closely with external sales colleagues and other stakeholders to support customer acquisition and retention.
• Develop initiatives that increase revenue, profitability, and customer engagement.
• Collaborate with suppliers and technical experts to enhance product knowledge and deliver effective customer solutions.
• Maintain productive supplier relationships that align with commercial and customer objectives.
• Oversee sales administration and order processing activities, ensuring compliance with business procedures and high levels of accuracy.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Sales Office Manager, Office Manager, Customer Service Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Proven track record of leading, motivating, and developing successful sales or customer service teams.
• Strong customer relationship management and account development skills.
• Commercially minded with the ability to identify and maximise sales opportunities.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience working within a fast-paced sales environment, ideally within an industrial, technical, or distribution-based sector.
• Strong organisational skills with a focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
