Process Lead – Maintenance
Glasgow | Permanent | Spirits Manufacturing
We’re recruiting for a Process Lead in Maintenance with a well-established spirits manufacturer in Glasgow. It’s a great step up for a time served engineer who’s ready to lead a small team, or for a current supervisor who wants more ownership of improvement work.
You’ll report to the Maintenance Manager and lead a team of 2 to 5. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll plan the work, still use your own engineering skills, and drive CI across multiple sites. You’ll also deputise for the Maintenance Manager when needed.
What you’ll be doing
Planning maintenance resources and equipment so the asset care programme is delivered
Prioritising work around breakdowns and urgent jobs
Carrying out maintenance and repairs within your own discipline
Providing technical support, training and coaching to the team
Leading preventative maintenance improvements and root cause problem solving
Running CI activity and small improvement projects across the sites
Carrying out risk assessments, audits and checks, and managing contractors
Representing maintenance at daily and weekly operational meetings
What we’re looking for
HNC or BTEC, and time served as an Electrical or Multi-skilled Engineer
IOSH, or willing to get it
Strong maintenance background in a manufacturing or process-driven environment (bottling, FMCG, pharma or food would be ideal, but we’ll consider other process industries too)
Some supervisory experience desirable
CMMS experience is essential, and SAP and SCADA are a bonus
Great diagnostic skills
A good communicator who works well with production and other teams
