Newly created role as Management Accountant within a successful and growing product business base in Cheshunt – Hertfordshire. Hybrid.
Whilst supporting the operations and senior management, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making through preparation of management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis and performance reporting.
This is the perfect opportunity for a recently qualified Accountant to take ownership of an exciting new role and make it your own, with the support of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts within agreed deadlines.
Analysis of financial results and investigation of variances against budget and forecast.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Assist with the annual budgeting process.
Prepare and maintain rolling forecasts.
Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
Support managers with budget preparation and financial planning.
Business Partnering
Work collaboratively with department managers to understand business performance.
Provide financial insight and recommendations to support operational decision-making.
Challenge costs and identify opportunities for efficiencies and savings.
Support business cases, projects, and investment appraisals.
Financial Analysis
Analyse trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational data.
Prepare profitability and cost analysis reports.
Monitor margins and expenditure across the business.
Support strategic planning through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
Candidate profile:
Newly Qualified or part-qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA with exposure to management accounting or finance business partnering role.
Strong analytical skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
