Job overview

We are pleased to offer two opportunities for experienced and motivated nurses to join our inpatient services as Team Leaders :

  • Permanent Team Leader - Hampden House
  • 6-month Team Leader Secondment - Gainsford House

You will provide clinical leadership, support service development, lead and develop the nursing team, and work collaboratively with service users and colleagues to ensure services meet individual and organisational needs.

The successful candidate will ensure nursing staff receive appropriate supervision, support, appraisal, and professional development opportunities. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the ongoing development of inpatient services.

These positions offer an excellent opportunity to enhance leadership, management, and clinical skills while contributing to outstanding patient care.

Permanent Post - Hampden House

Ideal for an experienced leader seeking to make a long-term contribution to service development, influence clinical practice, and support continuous improvement.

6-Month Secondment - Gainsford House

A great opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to broaden their experience in clinical and operational leadership while developing management skills.

Main duties of the job

The Team Leader role is pivotal in delivering safe, effectiveness and service excellence within the team dynamic.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working as a Charge Nurse or in a similar role - who can join us to deliver safe and effective inpatient services that aim to embrace recovery by working in partnership with service users and their carers.

In both roles, you will provide professional leadership and management support to the unit, working closely with the Matron. The post holder will hold 24-hour operational responsibility for delivering high-quality nursing care and treatment within the inpatient service.

We would like to hear from you if you are interested to gain experience in managing a community rehabilitation unit. Our services aim to provide a high standard of treatment and care in a safe and therapeutic setting for service users at a vulnerable stage of their illness.

Furthermore, the post holder will be responsible for establishing and maintaining team systems and processes for effective operation of the team, and to ensure compliance with the achievement of Key Performance Indicators.

The successful candidate must display a considerable degree of initiative, possess mature judgement and maintain a calm, friendly and efficient manner when dealing with service users, their relatives, colleagues and visitors.
