We are partnering with a highly respected and long-established insurance broker to recruit an experienced insurance professional for its specialist Farm & Estates team in Surrey.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Account Executive, Team Leader or experienced Account Manager who combines strong technical broking knowledge with the ability to lead people, manage client relationships and support the continued growth of a specialist portfolio.

The role offers a blend of client portfolio management, team leadership and business development, with scope to make a meaningful contribution to the team's performance and future development.

The role

You will take responsibility for managing and developing a portfolio of clients across Commercial, Liability and High Net Worth (HNW) insurance, while providing leadership and support to a team of insurance professionals. Alongside maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality broking service, you will help guide the team, support colleagues' development and contribute to the ongoing success of the wider business.

Farm & Estates, rural or agricultural insurance experience would be beneficial, but we are also keen to hear from experienced commercial insurance professionals with strong management capability and an interest in developing within this specialist market.

Key responsibilties

• Manage and develop an established portfolio of commercial, liability and HNW clients.
• Lead, support and develop a team, promoting high standards of service, technical quality and performance.
• Oversee renewals, client requirements and day-to-day account management activity.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, insurers and key business contacts.
• Identify opportunities to grow accounts, cross-sell additional products and develop new business.
• Support the team in handling complex risks and delivering appropriate insurance solutions.
• Monitor service standards, compliance and operational processes.
• Contribute to team performance, workflow management and continuous improvement.
• Help develop the team's capabilities and support the future growth of the Farm & Estates offering.

About y ou

We are looking for an experienced insurance professional who can bring both technical credibility and the confidence to lead others.

You may currently be an Account Executive with team leadership responsibilities, a Senior Account Handler or Account Manager ready to take the next step, or an established Team Leader or Manager looking for a broader opportunity.

You will ideally have:

• Strong experience within commercial insurance broking.
• Experience managing a client portfolio, including commercial and liability risks.
• Exposure to HNW insurance, or the ability and willingness to develop this expertise.
• Previous team leadership, people management or mentoring experience.
• The ability to balance hands-on client management with wider team responsibilities.
• Experience within Farm & Estates, rural, agricultural or specialist HNW insurance would be advantageous, although candidates from broader commercial broking backgrounds will also be considered.
• Relevant CII qualifications would be beneficial, or you should be willing to work towards them.
