A well-regarded professional services firm based at Bank/Cannon Street is growing its Procurement team and wants an IT specialist who is keen to take full ownership of technology buying. If you enjoy shaping how a firm sources and manages its tech suppliers, this one is worth a look.

What you’ll do

You’ll be the go-to person for buying and managing the firm’s technology, from software and cloud subscriptions to networks, hardware support and phone and communications services. You’ll work hand in hand with the IT team and senior colleagues to run sourcing projects, agree commercial terms, keep an eye on how suppliers are performing, handle renewals, spot risks early and help shape budgets and sourcing plans.

What we’re looking for

• A solid background in (In-House) IT category procurement, ideally covering a wide range of technology areas within a professional office environment, e.g. law, accountancy, banking, insurance etc.
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
• CIPS Level 4 required
• Confidence negotiating contracts and commercial terms, with an understanding of the legal side a real bonus
• Hands-on experience agreeing SaaS deals
• Good knowledge of how strategic sourcing works in practice
• A professional services background if possible, though candidates from other sectors will be considered
• Some understanding of buying AI tools, including the pricing, data protection and regulatory questions that come with them
