School Site Assistant

Location: Putney

Rate: £18 per hour Umbrella

Hours: 30-35 hours per week

The Role

An education establishment in Putney is seeking a proactive and reliable Site Assistant to support the day-to-day running, maintenance, and security of the school premises. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with facilities, caretaking, maintenance, or site support experience looking for a flexible contract position.

Duties Include

• Assisting with the opening and closing of the school site
• Carrying out basic maintenance, repairs, and decorating tasks
• Undertaking regular health and safety checks across the premises
• Setting up rooms and furniture for meetings, exams, and school events
• Maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of external areas
• Responding to site-related issues and helping ensure the smooth operation of the school

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, facilities, or site support role
• Basic DIY and building maintenance skills
• Understanding of health and safety responsibilities
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Enhanced DBS
