Accounts Payable Officer

Location: Carmarthenshire (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Robert Half is partnering with a well-established organisation in Carmarthen to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing finance team where accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Following a successful probation period, employees can benefit from hybrid working, with up to two days per week working from home.

The Role

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient processing of supplier invoices and payments while maintaining strong financial controls and building positive relationships across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Managing supplier accounts and resolving invoice queries
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Preparing and processing payment runs
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Supporting month-end processes as required
• Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Contributing to process improvements within the finance function

About You

To be considered, you will have:

• Previous Accounts Payable experience
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles
• Experience using finance and accounting systems
• Sage 200 experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A customer-focused approach
