Secured Lending Solicitor

PQE: Minimum of 3 - 4 year PQE in Private Practice

Location: London / Hybrid

Salary: Circa £70k plus, dependant on experience

My client is a progressive and growing law firm with an established reputation in the property finance and secured lending sector. Due to continued growth and increasing client demand, they are seeking an ambitious and commercially aware Solicitor to join their highly regarded Property Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented lawyer with experience in secured lending and property finance to join a busy, successful department acting for a range of banks, specialist lenders, bridging finance providers and commercial clients. The successful candidate will have experience in working on lenders side of transactions, so single representation acting for lender only, preparing and dealing with loan documents, third party mortgages, deeds of priority, dealing with borrowers’ solicitors, reviewing legal packs quickly and efficiently. Dealing with title insurance matters is also a benefit.

The Role

You will advise on a broad range of secured lending and property finance matters, including:

• Acting primarily on behalf of banks, specialist lenders, and short-term finance providers.
• Bridging finance and property finance transactions.
• Preparation and negotiation of finance and security documentation.
• Third-party mortgages, deeds of priority and related security arrangements.
• Liaising with borrowers' solicitors and other professional advisers.
• Reviewing title documentation and legal reports efficiently and accurately.
• Advising on title insurance and related risk mitigation solutions.

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and technically strong solicitor who can demonstrate:

• Ideally 3-4 years' PQE, although candidates with slightly less or significantly more experience will be considered where relevant expertise can be demonstrated.
• Proven experience acting for lenders in secured lending transactions.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and residential property transactions.
• Experience handling bridging finance and secured lending matters.
• Excellent technical and commercial awareness.
• A keen interest in business development and client relationship management.
• The ability to thrive within a fast-paced and client-focused environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
