Role: Commercial Litigation Solicitor - NQ
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000

CRA Consulting is pleased to be working alongside a highly regarded regional law firm to recruit a Newly Qualified Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its established Dispute Resolution team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ Solicitor looking to build their career within a well-established commercial practice, working alongside experienced lawyers on a varied caseload of contentious matters.

You will join a supportive and commercially focused team, assisting with a broad range of commercial and civil disputes. The role will provide exposure to a variety of contentious matters, with the opportunity to develop your technical expertise and take increasing ownership of your own caseload as your experience grows.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and assisting with a varied caseload of commercial and civil litigation matters
• Supporting senior lawyers on more complex and higher-value disputes
• Conducting legal research and providing clear, commercially focused advice
• Drafting correspondence, pleadings, statements and other legal documentation
• Assisting with negotiations, mediations and other forms of dispute resolution
• Liaising directly with clients and other professionals
• Working closely with colleagues across the wider firm
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships

The successful candidate will ideally:

• Be newly qualified or due to qualify as a Solicitor
• Have completed a training seat in Commercial Litigation / Dispute Resolution
• Have gained experience across a range of contentious matters
• Have strong academics and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in commercial disputes
• Be commercially minded and client-focused
• Be keen to develop technically and take on increasing responsibility
• Work well as part of a collaborative team while being able to manage their own workload
