Our client, a forward thinking independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an experienced, diligent, Audit Semi-Senior or Senior to join their Audit and Accounts team in Eastleigh.

The role will involve carrying out audit assignments from planning through to completion, across a mixed portfolio of clients and you will be responsible for undertaking audit fieldwork both from the office and on-site at client premises, working independently on assigned areas and progressing audits efficiently.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Undertake a variety of interesting and complex audit assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with managers and partners when required
• Planning, completion and finalisation of audit and accounts preparation assignments
• Preparation and finalisation of financial statements and tax computations
• Assist in work allocation and supervise more junior team members on audits, providing support, training and reviewing their work
• Ensure audit assignments are completed to a high standard, in time and within budgets agreed with Directors
• Maintain up to date and relevant technical knowledge of the industry
• Building productive working relationships with clients
• Developing and applying your technical knowledge through on-the-job training

You will ideally hold a professional qualification such as ACCA/ACA and have a solid UK audit background in practice of at least 2-3 years. Study support may be offered if required.

You will also possess a strong understanding of FRS102, as well as having a good working knowledge of accounting systems such IRIS, alongside Microsoft Office and Excel.
