This unique opportunity combines hospitality with education, allowing you to share your industry expertise while supporting young adults with learning disabilities to develop practical catering skills, confidence and independence.

No teaching qualification is required. Full training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality meals within a professional hotel environment
• Demonstrate industry-standard kitchen techniques and best practice
• Support and mentor students developing catering and hospitality skills
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Work collaboratively with support staff and wider college teams
• Encourage confidence, independence and employability skills in learners

Requirements

• Experience working within a professional kitchen or hospitality environment
• Level 2 Hospitality & Catering qualification (or equivalent)
• Level 2 English and Maths
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for supporting and developing others

Desirable

• Experience mentoring or training colleagues
• Experience supporting young people or adults with additional needs
• Teaching, assessing or coaching qualifications
