Account Manager – Payroll Sales

£40,000–£45,000 basic + commission

Hybrid – three office days per week

Permanent | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week

Accomplish Today is recruiting an International Account Manager for a contractor payroll business in Altrincham. This B2B sales and account management position focuses on developing recruitment agency relationships and identifying international payroll opportunities, particularly across the United States and Republic of Ireland.

If you have experience in account management, business development or recruitment, this is an opportunity to apply your commercial skills to international markets. A background in PAYE umbrella, contractor payroll or recruitment agency services would be particularly valuable.

Reporting to the International Sales Director, you will qualify incoming enquiries and develop opportunities across an existing UK client portfolio. You will establish what each agency needs, identify the appropriate solution and maintain the relationship throughout the sales and referral process.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing warm sales leads and international payroll enquiries, establishing client requirements, timescales and commercial potential.
• Developing existing recruitment agency accounts through proactive conversations, cross-selling and consistent follow-up.
• Coordinating referrals to international payroll and Employer of Record (EOR) partners, involving internal specialists where appropriate.
• Maintaining contact after implementation to identify further business opportunities.
• Managing your sales pipeline and recording client activity accurately within the CRM.
• Reviewing conversion rates, partner feedback and market information to improve sales performance.
• Building relationships within a recruitment partner network and promoting international services through LinkedIn.

You will bring:

• Experience in sales, account management, business development or another consultative client-facing role.
• Strong telephone skills and the ability to uncover client needs through effective questioning.
• Experience handling warm leads or new business enquiries.
• The confidence to build relationships with decision-makers and manage several opportunities simultaneously.
• An organised, independent approach with reliable follow-up and attention to client service.

Experience within umbrella payroll, contractor services or recruitment is desirable. Familiarity with CRM systems and LinkedIn for business development would also be an advantage.

The position could suit an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Business Development Executive or Recruitment Consultant with relevant experience developing client relationships.

You will work directly with the International Sales Director, build your knowledge of overseas markets and contribute to the development of the international business.
